About our Pastor Elder David Wise is a native of Hempstead, NY. There he was an active member of a local Baptist church where he acknowledged his call to ministry in his early teens. At the age of fifteen the Lord filled him with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. It was also at this time that God opened the scriptures to him regarding the baptism in Jesus’ name. After a short affiliation with the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), Elder Wise joined a local Apostolic church. It was there that he learned the necessity of having an intimate relationship with Christ and the real meaning of holiness. While attending this church he met and married his wife, the former Sis. Dorothea Hall. The two have four children, Ian, Lance, Ashley, and Lauren. In 1987, God led him to North Carolina and years later lead him to serve under the pastorate of the late Bishop W. J. Thompson, founder of Eastern Star Holiness Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Raleigh, North Carolina. Pastor Wise was ordained and served as assistant pastor to Eastern Star Church until God called him to start the Mt. Moriah Church in May of 2003. Pastor Wise is working to prepare the saints of God to fulfill their purposes in the kingdom of God. It is his belief that we are all called to ministry and that your fulfillment in life will be experienced as you walk in the perfect will of God for you.
